  34. FileAct is a handy desktop utility. It provides powerful,
  35. programmable, multi-file processing functions. Basically, it can
  36. invoke any command or program on a batch of files. For example, by
  37. specifying a one-line command template, it is possible to rename a
  38. batch of files to names that can be built from any part of the old
  39. name and/or the new name, a task which is very cumbersome to perform
  40. 'by hand'.
